I have no idea how to price the following items for our garage sale:
- Baby clothes (Gap, ON, TCP, Carter's, Osh Kosh)
- Adult clothes (Gap, ATL, BR)
- Kitchen items (utensils, cookie sheets, cake pans, etc)
- Baby toys (shape sorter, stacking cups, bead roller coaster, etc. - nothing fancy, light up, or that makes music)
- Stuffed animals
- Bouncy seat
- Crib sheets
- Bumper
- Plastic patio furniture
- Books, hardcover and paperback
Thanks for any help! I don't go to a lot of garage sales so I really have no clue.
Re: Garage sale pricing?
It depends on where you live, if you're in a more HCOL type place you may charge more. I'm just going on what I'd see or pay for some of that stuff. We live in HCOL but people are cheap. My mom was selling something for $40 and someone asked if she'd take $2 for it. lol It also depends on if you're primarily selling to make profit or selling to get rid of it. You could always mark up and then let people haggle or reduce prices if stuff isn't moving but a lot of people like to come early so I wouldn't start out too high if you want the stuff to go.
