mmr reaction

anyone's DC have a reaction to the MMR shot?  DS had it 10 days ago..this afternoon he was really fussy and then when we came home from a picnic he had red blotches all over his face...no where else.  Could this be a reaction or heat rash from being out in the horrible heat/sun...although we have done that alot this summer and no rash.  i just thought the rash from the mmr shot was little bumps not red patches/blotches.  I will call dr. in the am.  .luckily our pedi office is open sundays!

My DD had a reaction 9 days out from the shot and it was little red bumps all over her body. I don't know much more about it to answer your questions though :-/

Yes, mine did too! A case of the crabbies, a rash on her face and legs and generally not feeling well.

My pedi warned me the reactions usually happen 7-14 days out and not right away. He also said not to bring her back for the rash or not feeling well as it just has to run its course and there wasn't much he could do about it anyways. Of course, if there was something that looked out of the normal/strong reaction to bring her back.

DD had a mild fever. We think she may have also had a rash, but we aren't sure that's what it was from.

I don't think they really do anything unless it's a serious reaction.
