I saw that post about the DD but never saw the original. There can't be two people considering Bradlyn though, can there? I'm really hoping not.

People around here dont tell people to should go away. We tell them if they are going to ask for opinions they expect them to be honest. When people are telling you your names suck you should listen.

Sigh. Not trying to create drama- I replied to a thread early this morning and when I came back this evening it was gone. Just wondered what had happened, because it didn't seem particularly DD-worthy to me. Not sure how long you have been around the boards, but it's generally considered poor form to delete a thread after you've gotten replies.

Close, Bradford. Which people suggested she use as a middle name instead. Then she came back saying something like she though it was interesting that there we all these posters hating on certain names, but that some of the names in their siggies were pretty horrible.

As a semi-sidebar, I love it when people say that about posters who are using pseudonyms for their LO. I think that's just awesome. It's like, half the reason I'm using a pseudonym for Rhett these days.  

 I wonder if anybody thinks I actually named my kid Babysaurus.

I actually did see someone tell her to go away. Can't remember who it was though.

I told her to stick around as long as she doesn't make fun of IRL kids' names.  

I believe I remember who. It's not a remark that surprises me coming from that particular person. Some people can be over the top rude, but most people post explanations or give suggestions.

I think sometimes people can be unnecessarily rude but a lot of times I don't think they mean it. (and maybe sometimes they do lol).If you're going to make a post to ask opinions on a name, you can't get mad if you get opinions that differ from yours and fire back... you're just asking for it at that point.

I don't like Bradlyn, it's NMS and I don't like strange hybrids of names and stuff.  I do like Bradley... even though it's generally a boy's name and I don't usually like when girls have boys names.  It's a huge improvement on Bradlyn.
