I am just curious how much your 23 month old is speaking/ doing. She was born almost 2 months premature and I worry constantly that she is not progressing properly. Any thoughts and comments would be very much appreciated! Thank you!

I agree with this. We had them come suggested by our pedi when DS was 17 months because he was barely walking. They said he was fine and gave us some tips for encouraging walking. Now, he walks all the time and runs everywhere!
It gave me peace of mind knowing he was okay. Two women came to our house speech therapist and early intervention specialist to evaluate DS. It was a free service offered by the county. If he was delayed, they would have suggested other services.
My DD is almost 23 months, and was born full term. We did call early intervention, for speech delay but she didn't qualify. She has about 20 words now, and does not put two words together yet.
They said she was delayed, around 25% for speech, cognition, and adaptive behavior, and 50% for fine and gross motor.
If you have concern just call EI, they were very helpful.
