1. People I meet these days would say I'm a girly girl - I love getting all dressed up and shopping and girl time, etc BUT I grew up a total tomboy and had my own motorcycle from when I was about 10 years old. I would only wear my big bros old clothes and probably didn't wear a dress at all from age 4-16 (well, maybe for my schoold graduations). I was often mistaken for a boy (except for my long blonde hair). So I was so secretly relieved to have a boy - I just don't know what I would have done with a little girl!
2. My life these days is the complete opposite from what I would have guessed I'd be doing. I'm a real estate broker and I used to own my own company with 6+ offices that I managed and I worked way way too much. These days I'm lucky if I get to put make-up on once a week and cherish being a SAHM. Little did I know when I sold my DH's home 8 years ago my life would be turned upside down.
3. My parents are complete wackos. My father is an alcoholic and my Mother wouldn't even speak to me for about 6 months after meeting her only grandson in the hospital because she says my DH told her to leave. I was fortunate to have some good times growing up but they have gone off the deepend and it makes me so sad they may never even know their only grandson.

1. If I could go back and choose another career I would be a dentist or a CRNA.
This was originally my plan, but then I got married, started working and never continued with my schooling. A friend & girl I went to nursing school with is finishing up her CRNA and I am so jealous!
1. My parents have been married for 32 years and DH's parents have been married for over 30 years as well. My parents just celebrated their anniversary this week, so it's fresh on my mind.
2. My mom wanted to name me Aubrey or Audrey but my grandfather hated those names and she wound up choosing Brandy instead. I like my name but I would have liked Aubrey or Audrey better. I went to school with 4 other girls named Brandy. This is the main reason why I opted not to share Adelynn's name with anyone. I didn't want pressure from people who didn't like the name.
3. I was captain of my high school cheerleading squad. Our squad placed 5th in the state cheerleading competition in 2000. We were a small squad of 12 girls and 1 boy. I am still proud of those days.
And, one more for funsies. . .some of you already know this but many may not. My favorite pastime is deer hunting.

That stinks!! Yes, life definitely gets in the way sometimes. I had no clue what a CRNA was until I had already finished X-ray/nuclear medicine school and starting working in the OR. Right before I met DH I was taking classes to go into PA school and just like you, I got married then pregnant and have yet to even think about going back to finish...
1. If my husband had been a girl mil would have named him my first name! We always laugh that she got a girl with that name one way or another.
2. One of my best friends had a LO on the same day that I had my ds. Our due dates were a week apart but our babies were born only two hours apart! We couldn't believe it!
3. I have never been stung by a bee. I feel like just typing this is jinxing me and I'm sure I'll get stung next time I go outside.
These are fun to read! So many of your posts I want to comment on but I don't have time at the moment. Here are mine:
1. I grew up in a town of less than 150 people. It was 6 streets by 4 streets. My dad still lives there. I liked growing up there but love living in the suburbs now. I don't know how to raise a kid in the city though!
2. I am an operating room nurse and I love my job. It's so interesting. I also love only working 3 to 4 days per week. I feel so fortunate to have those days at home with Eli.
3. I don't ever cook. I hate hate hate it. DH does all the cooking. He's really good at it too!
I'm totally late to this thread, but we just got back from LO's first camping trip (which was quite the adventure) so that's my excuse.
1. I know I've shared this on here before, but I met my husband in 4th grade - we attended the same very small private school from 4th-12th grade. We didn't start dating until college but I was his first girlfriend (he was not my first boyfriend, in fact I was planning to marry the guy I dated before him.)
2. I LOVE reading and can read crazy fast. Pre-baby I read 5-7 books a week (now it's more like one if I'm lucky and stay up late...) The sad thing is it's really not a marketable skill, though it was nice in college.
3. I have a phobia of being in stores when they're closing. I have no idea why! I also hate being in places without windows so you can't see the passage of time, like movie theaters.
