Thank you for all of the feedback! I do have a very Italian family, but the constant pronunciation problems would probably bother me. We're still leaving it on our list as a MN option, though!
I had a student with this last name last year who I loved and I also loved her name. It was so pretty, especially when she said it the way her Italian family says it (the r sounds a little different). I think it is great!!
That said, her nickname was CC and there were about five billion CCs in her grade last year. I'm not sure how popular these names are anymore, but just a word of warning.
