C-sections

What to wear?

I am 10 days post c-section and still wearing the hospital undies I brought home. Anything anywhere near my incision hurts so all I can wear at this point are dresses.. which I have 2 of... and it's getting cooler by the day. What are you gals doing?

Re: What to wear?

  • I wore full-panel maternity bottoms at first, then as I deflated a bit I would wear stretchy-waist things like skirts. Or Old Navy and Target have those yoga pants with the fold-down waistband that you can fold up and they're so comfy!

  • I'm still in my 12 dollar walmart dresses!

  • I bought some really high wasted underwear and wore that with my maternity pants...it seemed to work for me!  Good luck!
  • My maternity undies sit just above my belly button, so they don't bother my incision at all. The Danskin exercise pants from Wal-Mart have been a godsend comfort-wise and fashion-wise; I don't look or feel like a slob but I'm extremely comfortable.

  • I went to Target and bought the spandex high waisted underwear, they went up in between my scar and belly button. They kind of held things tighter and they were soft as well.

I also wore yoga pants that had the folded down part so I could just pull those up.

  • With my first I wore my maternity undies.... I just got new ones at Motherhood Maternity and they come up past my scar. I plan to get another set for post c/s.

I also bought a lot of those yoga style pants from old navy that roll down. They were super comfy. Also try leggings and longer sweaters when its cold? I work at White House Black Market and our leggings come up to at least your belly button... just the thin regular kind. You can get these pretty cheap at other places too.

  • I swear by mens boxer brief style underwear and leggings.  Yoga pants are also good, even if you have to buy a size up.

  • I wore yoga pants and low rise briefs everyday upon returning home for both c/s.
