The rapist could request shared custody. Or full custody. Because you cant have an abortion if its not "legitimate" rape, and then dude can show up and say its his baby, no charges because the rape was not "legitimate".

I read an article, very recently, that rapists now have parental roghts. This woman was saying how she was raped, I think that her rapist was jailed and when he got out, sued her for custody. 

I need to find that article.

ETA:  I just read it, and this is so awful.  I can't imagine.

It is disgusting. This shouldn't be allowed. A woman shouldn't be raped by both an assailant and the law.

ShellShocked - I saw that article, too.  So terrible.  So very, very terrible.  I can't believe we live in a country that would allow that to happen.

Sick and twisted. It's bad enough that certain politicians want women to be forced to carry pregnancies in the case of rape, but then their attacker is permanently part of their lives. They are then required to give their attacker their home address and phone number and work with them on visitation. Fuckings sick and twisted and unacceptable.
