What does "Two and Under free" mean to you?

I'm trying to budget play group play dates and there's a petting zoo that is kind of expensive (at least for our area the local regular zoos are about half this price) at $23 per person, regardless of age. Kids Two and Under are free. So, if he's 2 years and 11 months, is he still free b/c he's still TWO? That's what I'm assuming it means.

And don't tease me, what was left of my brain is being eaten by the current fetus.

  • 2 years, 11 months = free.

    3 years = $23.

  • Yes.  If the kids are under the age of 3 then they are free.

  • I usually take that to mean Under 2, but I see how it could be interpreted that way. Maybe call and ask? Or don't and say the kid is 2, because well, he's not 3?

  • haha, he actually just turned two this month so we have time. Our budget is just *super* tight right now and if it's $46 for a PETTING zoo, I'll have to skip it.

  • under 3 years of age = free

    IMO

  • awesome, I'm glad I seem to be correct. I can handle $12p for a fun morning out with the kid. $23? notsomuch.

I'd be skipping it whether our budget was tight or not simply because that strikes me as an outrageous price.

That's what I thought too but I'm supah cheap. Our ZOO is $17 pp for an adult.

I would take a copy of a birth certificate with you, just in case. Wink

  • If it says "two and under free" that means until they turn three.

"under two free" means free until they turn two.

  • That's a lot for a petting zoo IMO. I suppose it depends on the area, but our regular zoo is half of that and it has a petting zoo in it.

Two (year olds) are free AND those under two are free. You are two until you turn three- your two-year-old status does not expire the day after your second birthday. :)

I can HEAR you rolling your eyes at me ;-) hehe. I know it's such a dumb question but hey, I'm kinda dumb. The babies ate my brain!

Oh, it's farking expensive for here too, my eyes bugged out when I saw the price. If X was 3, NO WAY would I go. NO WAY. But I can rationalize $11/12 per person for a fun morning out. I'd never ever go once he turned three b/c I can go to the fancy zoo for $9 less.

  • But if you're a resident you get two whole dollars off!  TWO DOLLAS!

That coupon link also has a buy two, get one free.

The C. Fl zoo is $13/person, two and under free, has a petting zoo, AND has a splash park.  It's pretty small for a zoo and is a bit of a drive for us but it's a nice way to have a day out the house.

We are members there. I love it. We go twice a week, at least. He loves the rooster that you're not supposed to pet. Hah.

  • I would have interpreted it to mean so long as not 3 yet, free.  However, I have noticed that some places are going with months now.

I just booked a character lunch at Sesame Place and it specified 23 months and under - which is the first time I had seen that.

  • Rio.

I say until they look older than 2 = free.

    Boom.

  • OOO where is this petting zoo? I am in Central Florida. Can't figure out how to get my location to actually change on the bump.

Edit: Never mind. I think I found it. And I misread your initial post. 23$ is still expensive!
