Is it just me or is being plus size before pregnancy making my belly look not so prego at 26 weeks.  Im petite, plus size and prego and am starting to get worried, people are telling me that I dont look pregnant.  I know my belly has grown or I wouldnt be in bigger sizes of elastic waist pants but I sure dont look like my skinny mommy to be counterparts who are also  approx. 26 weeks prego.  Comments please from the pluz size gals.  Thanks

I did not start to look distinctly pregnant until last week, at 27 weeks. It really depends on how you are built, where you normally carry your weight, and some other random factors it seems. A friend of mine was heavier than me with her last baby and her belly never popped out.

Im all boob and had some stomach to begin with and Im wondering does every womens belly button pop out eventually?

No, not everyone's belly button "pops". I am tall and mine never did with LO1.

Honestly, I don't think I ever looked pregnant with my first.  I took belly shots, so I know I looked pregnant.  But to the random stranger I don't think they could tell.  I never got comments from strangers, but to be fair I also didn't work and don't go out much so it wasn't like I was around a lot of people for them to comment anyway. 

I guess it could be considered a blessing in disguise since I never had to worry about random people trying to touch me or ask me uncomfortable questions.

I'm with you.  Distinctly plus size, no popping yet, just look "bigger."  :-S  I felt some new pains yesterday, so there's a part of me hoping that it's RLP developing into some semblance of a bump.

I never showed with my first. I didn't even move into maternitypants or anything.

If this is your first you may not "show" until later on if at all.  Your muscles are not stretched out with this one so they have an easier time holding your uterus in.  Don't stress about it. When and if you choose to have a second one, you will probably show a lot sooner and much more than you did with your first. 

With DD I didn't show until 6-7 months pregnant, and it looked like a little tiny bump.  With this pregnancy I started showing at 16weeks..and feel that I look like I'm 8 months pregnant right now.

Be thankful you don't have random people coming up and rubbing your belly, it's super annoying.

with DD I didn;t start showing until around 25 weeks or so, this time around I'm already showing and in maternity cloths (15 weeks tomorrow, tickers wrong, can;t remember how to change it....)

I am a short and stout mommy to be wearing a size 20. Luckily for me a lot of my weight is in my butt and thighs so I am sporting a belly, however there are some days where bloat isn't as bad or baby is laying more towards my back where I just look like I ate too many doughnuts and am not pregnant.

I'm one of those weird plus sized moms that look way pregnant super early.  I carry super high and my belly pops early.  This is my 3rd pregnancy and I am noticably pg to even strangers. 

I have a girlfriend who is normally built like me, same size as me but she never looked pregnant with any of her kids. 

Our bodies are weird things and everyone looks different.

I told one of our counselor's at school that I would be on long-term leave in February and she asked in a very questioning voice, "WHY?"  I was very sad for a moment and then laughed it off and told her because I was quite pregnant at the moment.  I told her I felt like a big old cow, but obviously it wasn't obvious to others yet.  I think she felt bad.  I can tell I have a belly, but I guess I still just look fat.   I did with DS too for awhile.  Sometimes I wish I was tiny and skinny still, like when I was younger.  Now I'm the fat girl whom no one can tell is pregnant.  I understand being bummed out about it.

I'm technically plus size (size 14) and I'm very muscular. I started showing at about 18 weeks and my belly is slowly growing, but I'm still on the is-she-pregnant/is-she-fat line. I've seen some other 18 and 22 week bumps and I'm super jealous. I look way less pregnant than them.

I'm a plus sized girl, and I only started looking distinctly pregnant within the last week. So... 29 weeks about. My husband could tell because he knows what I look like when I'm not pregnant, but apparently nobody else could...

I'm plus-sized, and about 28 weeks.  Earlier this week at a fair with my MIL and FIL, a woman they know asked my MIL about life events.  When MIL mentioned our baby, the woman turns to me and asks, "WHERE?!" (as in, where am I growing a baby?) then proceeded to squeeze my belly.
