I did my first PIO shot last night. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I rolled the filled syringe between my hands while I warmed up the heating pad and used that for about 10 minutes after.
After 30 days, I get switched to a different progesterone supplement.

My DH does my PIO shots for me; it's the "surprise" element that freaks me out, b/c I never know when the needle is coming.
I find that massaging the area afterwards and going for a walk helps cut down on any soreness and lumps.

DH does my IM shots, too. I can't imagine the position I would have to contort into in order to do it myself.

Now that you gotten over the 1st one, you'll be fine. I was so terrified the first time and then afterwards I couldn't believe that I stressed over it so much. GL!
