Snyder of Hanover Snaps?

I just noticed the front of the bag has a U in a circle with the word dairy underneath it. But the ingredients look safe. I've been eating them every so often. Did I mess up?

  • Hm...if anything, I think it could be the malt...

  • The circled U with the word dairy is one of many Kosher symbols used in packaging (and they are all pretty confusing). I belive the word dairy under it, or the letter D next to it, means that it was produced on equipment that may also produce dairy products. Try googling for kosher symbols for a better explaination :)

Malt is not dairy, it's gluten; it's derived from barley.

I know...but I've read online that sometimes they mix it with milk powder. I guess it'd have said it on the packaging.
