Work vent, semi-IF related

My small branch office consolidated into our headquarters today. Huge break on commuting for me, which I am happy about. However, my new digs are in an open cubicle layout - no more office. Also, I'm situated in the midst of a lot of 22-35 year old males, literally I'm the only female in a wing of about 30 people, and many of them are so very young. To top it all off, the building is a steel structure set down in a hole, so I get no cell service at my desk. Thinking about cycling in this arrangement put a knot in my stomach this afternoon.

  • The plus side is that everyone won't be getting pregnant around you and squealing about it.

Can you go outside? I feel like guys aren't so astute all the time, so they might not notice if you slip out for a few minutes. They may even appreciate the fact you're not on calls being loud enough for people to hear every last thing you say.

(Live in Europe) TTC since 1/2010

This! Maybe of you're surrounded by guys, you won't get so many prodding questions! I work with almost all women and it gets pretty grating sometimes with all the PG announcements and personal questions...
