Breakfast smoothie suggestion =)

Hi Ladies

Just wanted to share a smoothie I had this morning that was suprisingly good and so good for me and baby. Usually I go to get a fattening coffee and muffin or bagel. So this was a nice change, healthy, tasty, and filling.

2 handfuls of spinach

A cup of yogurt(I'm going to change this to soy milk next time)

whole apple

whole banana

half orange

5 strawberries

A little ice and a little water(but probably won't need the water if using the soy milk)

Boy was this good and I didn't expect it to be! And baby went a little nuts when I was done with it so he must've liked the healthy change! Going to try to make this a daily habit.

ENJOY!

Re: Breakfast smoothie suggestion =)

  • Hubby and I have been into smoothies lately. :)  My favorite is: some frozen mixed berries, a frozen banana, a cup of vanilla low fat yogurt, a little bit Fiber One cereal or oats, and a splash of milk as needed.  The frozen fruit eliminates the need for ice, so you get a rich flavor. :)  You have to be careful with the amount of Fiber One or oats so they don't take over the whole thing, but they are a nice boost.

  • My favorite breakfast one is Chocolate PB Banana. It's yogurt, a whole banana, a spoonful or two of Peanut Butter, and some chocolate syrup to taste. Delicious. When I have a hard time getting real food down, or when I get funky in the afternoon, DH has been making me Strawberry Pineapple ones. It's yogurt, frozen strawberries, pineapple juice, and pineapple. They're super yummy :)
