  • Absolutely protect yourself and do not feel silly for doing so!  Always remember that your executed lease agreement is what would protect you in court, if your tenant would ever default.  I'm a Landlord, as well as a Licensed GA Real Estate Salesperson and yes,  you can you the standard GA lease- just add an amendment for the renewal stating the rental rate and terms.  Good luck!
