TDaP kicking my a

Got it Monday around noon. 24 hours later it feels like I have the flu. According to the CDC, I am one of the lucky 1 in 100 adults who will experience lowgrade fever and body aches uncommon. And my arm hurts like a bith! I even got it in my dominant arm so I would use it more because that's supposed to help.

Okay thanks for the vent. I think a fancy decaf coffee will bring me around this morning.

ETA: Really bump? My asterik cursing is not acceptable?

  • I haven't gotten it yet but my hubby got the tdap 2 weeks ago in the morning and had to leave work later that day because he had a fever, headache, was sweaty and had the chills, was nauseous, and felt like crap. He's never sick. Also, his arm had a huge, hard, red welt on it at the injection site that hurt him for about 6 days. You're not alone, I saw his pain and I'm sorry you're going through that! It's worth it, right?

  • My arm was the only thing that bothered me for a while, it wasn't red and I'm grateful to not have gotten a fever.

This is me so far. I also got mine on Monday. No sickness but this am I can barely move my arm. :
  • I had every side effect listed by the CDC for two days.  It was miserable.  Chills, fever, body aches, head ache, the injection site was sore and swollen, I felt terrible...but probably much better than if I had whooping cough or gave it to my baby!  I hope you feel better soon!
