Formula to milk switch?

My LO is approaching 12 months and wondering how others did the switch from formula to milk. cold turkey? Half/half?

You just make the switch.

We mixed formula and milk, increasing the milk and decreasing formula, over about a week or so with DD1. Some people just switch cold turkey.

We've been giving him milk instead of his 1st morning bottle for the last three days just to see how he reacts to it.  So far so good.  We plan to keep increasing the milk and decreasing the formula over the next week or two.

He had a milk protein intolerance in his first few months and has been on Alimentum forever and ever, so we're taking it more slowly.  He loves the milk though, so that's good.

We are trying - and not having much luck.  We have been giving DD milk in her sippy during the day for approx. 2 weeks. She happily takes the first sip and then refuses to drink anymore.  I may have to back up and try mixing w/ formula.  Every other transition has been seamless with DD - this is our first real bump in the road.
