Medela Question

I have the Medela pump and was wondering if it can go in the dishwasher? Also I bought the microwave sterilization bags but then was reading it and it says you still have to wash them before using it? I thought the point of them was so you didn't have to wash them with soap every time?

I would think you would want to wash it with soap...Breast milk can leave an oily/greasy residue that doesn't come off with just heat alone...I usually have to wash with soap and then sterilize.

The pump itself never needs to be cleaned. I wash my pump parts in the dishwasher all the time.The point of the sterilizer bag is to sterilize, not clean... but you don't have to clean every time or even sterilize super often.nbsp; You can store pump parts in the fridge for 8 hours.
