Hey Bumpettes--
First of all, I hope I'm spelling that correctly. I had a routine check-up today at 30 weeks and was told the nugget was transverse, a position I'm pretty sure he's been in for weeks since his little feet like to kick my ribs constantly. I know it's early and it's not the same thing as breech, but what are the odds he'll be positioned with his head down when it's go time if he's been transverse the whole time? I'm a freak and don't fear a c-section at all, especially if it's the right thing for the nugget. I just want to be a little more educated about the whole transverse thing and if it means anything this early in the game.
Thanks much!
Re: Transverse, anyone? STM's?
ETA: forgot the percent sign
We did an elective 3D ultrasound at 33weeks 3days last time with DD and she was transverse. I had her at 37weeks, and she flipped on her own (and I have NO idea when she did, I didn't feel a thing or notice any different movements).
I just asked the Dr about this at my last appt out of curiosity, she said they don't worry about it until about 36weeks when they start checking you.
Don't worry momma, you have time. Its still early- you've plenty of time
