What books, guides, or other resources would you recommend to a parent of a child with needs similar to your own? I am basically looking for what was helpful for YOU. I work in education and am gearing up for the school year. I am compiling a list of resources for parents and/or teachers.

Yes, my question was in regards to information on disabilities that may be helpful for parents. Parents will always know their child better than I do. However, regarding disabilities... it does depend. There are many children that have disabilities other than a Specific Learning Disability  that aren't discovered until the child enters school.  It depends on the needs of the child. Thank  you for your recommendations.
