Anyone use Scentsy products?

I just got my plug-ins and a few bars- mmmm they smell so good!

Question though- the warmer itself is effing HOT!!! Christ! Is that normal? I know the wax doesn't get that hot, but if my kids touched the thing itself they would probably burn themselves.

It's also heavy as shiit and I hope they don't tip out of my crappy old outlets! Wondering if I should've gone with the full size ones!!!

AAHH! Decisions, decisions!

  • I have a warmer and yes it does get really hot. I have it sitting on the counter with a glass plate under it.

I'm sad I can't use their scents. There is something about them that give me horrible headaches. Sad So I just use other brands of wax that don't.

  • I have one of the big ones in my living room and a plug in one in the kitchen. I love them, but they do it hot. We have crappy outlets too, and mine leans a little, but i've never had it fall out of the outlet. It's funny, it bought them out of pity for my friend who had just started selling them, and i'm so glad I did. They smell so good.

Oh no! I'm a headachey kinda girl, so we'll see!!  I'm thinking of just doing the regular warmers- one on the kitchen counter and one in our BR... I was hoping to do a plug-in in the bathroom, but it's within the kid's reach and it makes me and DH nervous!

I'll have to see if I can exchange them!! I friggin love the scents I got!!

  • I have a plug in kind I bought from my friend who sells Scentsy.  I have it in a kitchen outlet that's up high.  I can't imagine putting it down low where Nate could reach it.  Maybe in a bathroom above a counter...  It does get really, really hot.  Not to mention the hot, melted wax.  I also have a full size warmer that our PTA bought all the teachers!! (LOVE our PTA!)  I have it on the mantle so that little hands can't get to it (although Nate can climb up to our mantle via a shelf, so it's only safe when we keep an eye on our climber!)

Yeah I had it above the counter, but my 3 yr old can easily get to it, and he LOVES to touch the nightlight in there, so I know he'll touch it! ARGH!
