TTC after 35

When is the soonest you can test after IUI?

I had my first IUI on Friday the 17th.  And I am going for bloodwork on Thursday and hoping for a BFP :)  But the suspense is killing me!  So I want to poas tomorrow.  But I am afraid that with all the medications, clomid, trigger shot, just 3 days of progesterone and estrogen that I might get a false positive and then be devasted when I see the dr. results.  And I feel crampy like af is coming.  Is that bad or could that be good?

  • I think your trigger shot would be the only thing that can give you a false positive. However, I've never made it to a trigger shot so I'm not sure how long it takes to leave your system.

  • It was always my understanding that they trigger should be out of your system by 10dp trigger.  The three IUI cycles we have gotten BFPs on, I had faint +s at 11 or 12dpiui (my betas are usually at 15dpiui and were always very low to start with too.)

Hope you see your BFP if you decide to test!!

  • I felt extremely crampy from the projesterone...it plays mean tricks on your body.

As far as the trigger shot...although the "norm" may be that it is gone in 10 days, mine lingered for 13.  I tested it out, so I wasn't that shocked when it dissapeared.

Good luck to you..I hope this is your cycle!!
