Rolling over

Last night while on the playmat, Liev rolled from front to back.  I think it was probably just a fluke since he didn't do it again but we were still amazed.  I thought that they first rolled from back to front and that it didn't happen until much later on?

I don't wanna get too excited about it!

Re: Rolling over

  • I think that they're supposed to do belly to back first.  You should get excited about it!  I've been trying to get DD to do it, but her arms get in the way.  :)

  • Owen first rolled from front to back when he was six weeks and one day old (the day my niece was born).  I thought it was a fluke too, but he did it over and over again.  He's 4 months old now and still can't roll from back to front.  Not sure what's "typical" for rolling over, but it may not be a fluke.  :o

  • Can I just say I am way jealous.  A couple of weeks ago DD rolled from her tummy to her back and she did it for DH and daycare lady, but not for me.  I think she has rolled for her back to her tummy....but don't have proof.  She just got super close and then went back.  I am so jealous...be excited.  by the way, you DS is adorable.
  • Noah started doing this last week as well.  I don't think it is too early.  I think we both have advanced kiddos. Smile

  • Typically it is belly to back first, but it can go the other way.  The first time DS did it I thought he was to young and it must be a fluke, but it wasn't.  Congrats!
