garlicy milk?

Last week, I had a hankering for garlic stuffed olives and ate A LOT. (they were delicious!) My girl had no problem drinking "straight from the tap" but refused any milk I pumped on those garlic olive eating days. I noticed the pumped milk smelled garlicy. Was I just having an olfactory hallucination imagine it or is it possible for the milk to take on the odor of pungent foods like garlic? Also, is it normal for LO to drink from the boob but not from the bottle in this scenario?

Re: garlicy milk?

  • I don't really have an answer for you but am curious to see what others say. I'm addicted to onions and eat them almost every day. One day I got a Subway sandwich and had them pile the onions on and I swear my pumped milk after that smelled like them. Baby still drank it no problem so it may just have been on me or something.
