Hi ladies, my DS is almost 11months old and I nurse him 4 times a day. I currently work full time and nurse him at noon. I plan to wean him from the noon feeding in a month, but really nervous about it. He stopped taking bottles at daycare around 6 months, so I nursed him and he ate solids rest of the time. He is now taking a few sips from sippy cups, but not enough to keep him hydrated. The only time he really drinks is when I nurse him. He is great at eating finger foods.
I have to stop feeding him at noon because my work is getting busy and I cannot get everything done that I need to some days.
If I stop going to see him at noon, will he start drinking more from sippy cups? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. TIA
Re: Nervous about weaning, please help!
Does he drink water from a sippy cup? My LO was slow to learn a sippy cup and now will take water from it but not BM. She actually had better success with a straw cup at first. Hydration can be from water too.
I still give my LO bottles too (to the PP). :-)
I send one cup with water and another cup with formula to daycare. I nurse him at 7am, 12pm, 4:30pm, and 8pm. Sometimes he gets up at night and I nurse him. He eats plenty of solids.
