STM and Holidays....

Ok so it just dawned on me that I should probably start thinking of DDs Christmas presents....yes I'm early but her BDay is the day after, poor kid. Anyway with lil man arriving during Thanksgiving week I've got to get creative on what to do here? Have you tout of it yet? Have you done Layaway at Toys r us before? I'm thinking a couple DVDs toys and a couple outfits, pjs and such what are you doing for your LO this year?

Yeah, I've thought a little about this. DS turns 2 on Dec 22nd, so I should probably start planning something.  I have a feeling though I'm just going to wait and order a few things from Amazon in December and see if I can get my mom to make his cake

I've thought about it! My sons bday is January 19 so we will also be having a busy season. I'm thinking of getting an iPad as a family gift prob refurb one. Other then that I'm stumped!!

Also might go to the YMCA soon to book a bday party. And will have to plan a baptism....

Money will be tight around the holidays this year since my unpaid maternity leave will start right around Thanksgiving, so I have already got the ball rolling on Christmas. I ordered DS a leappad2, some accessories a book for it. That is going to make up the majority of his gifts. Anything else will be small inexpensive like hotwheel cars.

At your DD's age we bought DD a play kitchen. We got a fairly large wooden one (kidkraft I think), not a short toddler one, and both kids play with it still.

No idea what the kids will get this year, but I will be ordering online or sending DH out with very specific lists.

DS's birthday is 2 weeks before my due date. I still hope to make the cake, but we are going to have his party a week early and doing a bounce house party so there's less work to do.

I'd like to get her a kitchen play set, but Im not sure if she'll quite 'get it' at 18mos.

I'm a FTM but I have 2 stepdaughters I'm like in between FTM and STM lol. They are 9 and 11 and I have no idea what we're getting them. They have everything already! It will probably be clothes for the most part. They are a pair of fashionistas so I think they would be happy with that.

Oooh, I should probably start thinking about doing that since DS's birthday is 12/27.  We have talked about getting a train table so I'm sure I can just get that online.  We'll suggest that family members buy trains and such for the table - they are always asking for ideas.

My DD will be 3 on Nov. 4th and LO is due the 27th. Then of course Christmas is a few weeks later. I haven't even thought about the holiday's yet. I just want to get past hostessing a party for 40+ people and then focus on the labor /delivery of LO. But after ready your post, it makes me think I should probably get on the ball or at least give myself a head start.

I haven't thought alot about actual gifts, but I have a feeling I will be doing majority of shopping online, or sending DH out to do it.  DS will be 3 soon and I have a feeling he'll be into super heros pretty soon.
