We had problems with heavy wetting overnight. We switched to hemp (actually large sized Joey Bunz Hemparoos) and it took care of it. Hemp is very absorbent and bonus it's naturally anti-bacterial so they don't get some of the problems that inserts like micro-fiber can have. I'd definitely recommend hemp.
I'm not sure about super soakers (maybe just a special insert that they're marketing for maximum absorbency?), but doublers are typically made to be used WITH another insert, which is a fine option too. So you'd be building on top of the absorbency you already have with your current inserts and doubling up. They're usually smaller in size than a full insert.
