An hour alone at home (AW, PW, NPR, WIPD)

C and I went to the waterpark for two hours this morning, so H could get some gaming/relaxing time. Now H has taken C to the mall (for the play area) and while that means only about an hour for me, thats still a whole fuckings hour with no kid and no H, just me and the dogs. I have a candle lit, got some almonds and pistachio chopped for the kulfi I am about to make, and then probably some TV or web browsing.

I am suffering with insomnia and all around uncomfortable.

Now I am wondering what Kulfi tastes like and if it is hard to make.

Ingredients

• 1 1/4 cups evaporated milk
• 1 1/4 cups sweetened condensed milk
• 1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
• 4 slices white bread, torn into pieces
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

Directions

1. Combine evaporated milk, condensed milk and whipped topping in a blender and blend in pieces of bread until smooth.
2. Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish or two plastic ice cube trays, sprinkle with cardamom and freeze for 8 hours or overnight.

Ahhhh... I wish. We went to the zoo this morning and DS refused to continue his car nap when we got home. No nap for me, but DH is getting his nap in. Tell me how the pregnant one isn't napping? I suppose I should make dinner now.

My parents left a couple hours ago after their visit, my laundry's folded, and now I'm sitting on my bum Bumping and watching the Weather Channel while Judith plays.  I'm going to have to make dinner very soon, and after that I plan to have more lazy time, possibly with my 3DS.

Thanks for the recipe! It sounds good but the waiting 8 hours to freeze must be torture.

Not really. Instead of pouring it into one big dish like it says, I picked up some of those dental water cups (what they have at the dr/dentist office for you to get some water to rinse your mouth out with) and made 18 of those. That will take about an hour or two at most to freeze and we will have them for dessert tonite. You can also use ice cube trays. The rest of the stuff went into an empty whipped cream tub and will probably take closer to 4 hours to freeze. That will go to my parents place either sometime tonite or tomorrow.

Oh happy dance. I have a box of 100 of those dental cups that I was wondering what the heck to do with.

We biked 10 miles, then went to my parents for lunch. The kids are napping now (I'm about to wake them up) while DH naps and I bump.
