If I have a beer I try and drink it right after my LO ate. That way it will be at least 2 hours before she needs to eat and I don't have to worry about her getting anything not good for her
I had an insane craving for a drink when DD was a couple of weeks old. I ended up getting some O'douls (0.5%) because I was still really nervous about it. It fixed the craving... It was such a long time since I drank alcohol that I didn't know how a regular strength drink would have affected me (sometimes I can feel only one drink). I tried non-alcoholic wine at a wedding, but it tasted terrible.
I think now that she is not feeding as frequently, I'd drink a regular beer or glass of wine, but no more than one in a day...and probably after she had gone to bed for the night. From my understanding the general rule is 1 per day and wait 1-2 hours before feeding, like PPs said.
Re: One beer?
Here is some good info:

I think the general consensus is 1.5 to 2 hours per drink. Either way, have a beer mama! Enjoy it.
