mixing frozen and fresh milk?

Can I mix old frozen milk that has been frozen for a month or more with fresh milk I pumped today?

I have been told no by my LC; however, everything I read says that as long as it is not frozen being added to fresh pumped (different temps) it's ok. So I guess make sure you are adding to already chilled breast milk.
