What color paint?

We have dark wood furniture like an espresso color. What color paint would look best with that? We were thinking a tan/sand color would look best but want some ideas.

What room are you painting? A nursery? I think espresso goes with a lot things. We have had espresso furniture in all of our bedrooms. Our room is taupe, DS1's room is light green and DS2's room is navy.  I think you could pick any color/theme you like and it would match well.

My H is currently painting our bathroom "crushed nutmeg" and we have a dark espresso vanity in there.  It looks awesome.  It's dark though, so I guess it depends what look you're going for in there.

I agree that espresso furniture will go with pretty much anything.  What color are your linens?

Stay away from anything too light or too dark. A contrast of roughly three shades in any color is typically ideal. Pull a color from a piece of artwork or an accent pillow.

Bedrooms I tend to choose a color.  H works w/ paint and the most popular residential color is Sherwin Williams Killian Beige.
