Hurricane prep

Anyone else in the path of Isaac?? Had to go out today to stock up on water, canned goods, batteries, and candles!! We have never actually prepared for a hurricane but with the baby it makes me very nervous! We are west coast Florida a little south of Tampa... hoping we only get the rain and a little wind. I am supposed to start work on Monday but looks like schools will most likely be cancelled so I'm praying no work for me!!

Stay safe! Whenever I hear of someone prepping for a hurricane/big storm, I think of Y2K when my mom bought about a hundred gallons of water...as if we were going to be stuck in our basement for years.

I'm in the Orlando area so I'm hoping I will be out of the way of this storm. The last thing I want is to go into labor during a hurricane.

Thanks girls!! LOL to prepping for Y2K... I think I was too young to notice if my parents prepped for that at all.
It's scary to have a baby in a hurricane path! Before it was all about hurricane parties down here and now I'm worried about shelters!

Looks like Orlando is in the clear but these hurricanes sometimes have a mind of their own. I remember hurricane Charlie was supposed to hit us directly and everyone evacuated to Orlando and then Charlie turned last minute hitting Orlando area. So you stay safe too!!

My family is flying out of Orlando on Tuesday to come up to Chicago to visit me and the new baby. Hopefully the hurricane stays clear of OIA so that my family can get up here!

Its just missing us here is Mississippi. We are going to be getting a lot of thw residual stuff though.
