Cloth Diapering

gDiapers

Has anyone used these? How do they compare to other CD brands. I've heard that they are trimmer, which makes it nice for clothes sizing. Is there room to stuff with extra cloth?

Re: gDiapers

  • I tried them a bunch of times and they leaked... maybe i should try again now he's a little bigger
  • I was going to use these, but my SIL talked me out of them. She said they leaked a lot. We went with flips instead.

  • GDiapers are my favorite daytime diaper. We have never had any leak. We use them with prefolds, and they are still quite trim.
  • We only use them with the flush able inserts as our "oh cr@p, ran out of regular cloth diapers" diaper.  Also going to be our camping, airplane, and hiking diaper.  So far no leaks.  Had poop get on the liner but so far nothing epic enough to get on the gpant.  If she didn't have moisture issues, I would totally try our prefolds in there to save on the $$ for the flushables if we're going to be at home.

  • We used the small gdiapers when DD was tiny. We used with gcloth but we had lots of issues with leaks. I didn't even bother buying the next size up.

  • We have a handful of them and they're ok for us. I tend to not reach for them until we're out of all of my favorites though. They're expensive for what they are and in my mind they're like "wannabe" CDs, if that makes any sense. I did score a set of 12 newborn gdiapers from a consignment store for 10 bucks, so that's pretty cool. They're just weird little covers, they don't have the snap in liner. I think there are definitely cheaper, better options out there though.
  • These are our daytime diapers because they are trimmer and daycare friendly.

We started with these when DD was an infant and are now in the medium size. We used the gCloth in the small size which were okay when she was smaller but once she was taking in more than 4 oz at a time they would leak. So we started using bamboo inserts which a great and absorbent.

Now that we are in the medium size, we use prefolds which fit perfectly and still keep the diapers trim.
