umm.. twins?

Hey there everyone. After reading a few other posts about morning sickness I've realized that what I'm experiencing is a little extreme I think. I am nauseated at all times unless I am actively eating and it's been this way since BFP at 3 weeks 5 days.. In addition to my all-day-long sickness I can honestly say that I am ticking every box of every pregnancy symptom from heartburn to sore boobs (I've gained almost a cup size in a week!).

I'm 5 weeks today (after charting very diligently so I think my dates are right on) and I'm starting to wonder if there isn't more than one baby in there. My fiance is a twin himself though he is fraternal and that shouldn't affect my chances of having twins right?

Any mommies of multiples out there with insight? Not due to go to the doctor for 4 more weeks.

Sorry but there are no special symptoms for twins.  The only thing that will tell you is an ultrasound.

This exactly! I have no extreme symptoms & pregnant with twins. Every pregnancy is different for every woman!

Same here.  The first tip off was my early BFP, then really high HCG levels, and then confirmed with u/s.

It's normal to wonder if you are having twins, but no amount of pregnancy symptoms = multiples.  Just sit tight for a few more weeks!  Your fiance being a twin would not have any impact on you conceiving twins.  Only spontaneous fraternals on your side of the family *might* increase your odds.  Identical twins are completely the luck of the draw.

I am pregnant with twins and experienced next to no symptoms other than extreme fatigue during the first trimester which is pretty much normal for all pregnancies, singleton or multiples. So echoing the others, symptoms (tons or none) alone can't determine multiples. GL though and congrats on your pregnancy!

Every pregnancy is different. Extreme symptoms doesn't mean multiplies. I had very mild symptoms and not once experienced morning sickness. I found out at 20 weeks it was twins! There was no reason to think otherwise before that so I had no other testing or ultrasounds.

At 5 weeks I was expecting quads I did not have morning sickness at all. Had some nausea later on in pregnancy but nothing early. My boobs grew with all my pregnancies and hell during the TWW. An u/s is the only way to know anything for sure sorry.

These ladies are right -- I did not have any nauseau with this twin pregnancy and my breasts have not grown significantly. Hold tight for your ultrasound!

Your fiance being a twin has absolutly no bearing you having twins since he's not the one that ovulates. I had no more symptoms then a normal pregnancy.  Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different.  You'll just have to wait it out until your next US to be sure.  Good luck.
