Maryland Babies

so then...

if you saw someone leave their kid in the car (brief scenario such as previous post), would you:

a) wait to make sure the parent came out right away and give them a dirty look

b) wait and say something to them

c) wait and call the police

d) other

(I DD'd the original because I am paranoid about it getting back to the person.)

Re: so then...

  • I would do A, possibly B

I might do C, but I doubt it.  If I was a mandatory reporter, I would though.

  • I would do A and possibly B if I knew them.

If I did know them, not sure I would do C. Now if they're going a restaurant and a not a gas station where they're obviously watching their kid while paying for gas, I might consider C.

I'm intrigued of course now that maybe I know this person as well.

  • Yikes, I guess I would talk to them . I have done a redbox with kids in car and i do leave my son as I pickup Sam from her in home daycare place but they bring her to the door so he is never out of my eye line  and I never leave keys.

Leaving to use the bathroom would be waaaay to long and scary

We saw this in Iceland, but the kid was never IN the carriage when it was parked outside the shop.
