XP: :( Today my OB retires.

 C&P'ed from the Jan 13 board. Today was his last day in the office. I am so sad because he delivered DS, and I was so looking forward to him delivering this LO as well. He has a very dry humor, and I love it. It was what kept me from having a full-blown panic attack during my c/s. And we were all disappointed that he couldn't do any procedures today, so an u/s was out He so wanted to know what we were having (well, so did we). Now he's getting replaced with an OB from the hospital I hate. They bought out the hospital in my town, and every OB but one is leaving the practice. So now I'm down to one OB I trust. This sucks.

I don't even want to think about my OB retiring.  Thankfully, he's still pretty young.  I know what you mean about keeping you calm during your c/s, mine did the same thing.  He's also the head of the OB dept at the hospital we use and he is always so busy.  My appointments get rescheduled all the time, but I don't care, I don't want to run the risk of seeing someone else, LOL.  There are a couple doctors in his practices that I REALLY don't like.  I hope things work out for you.

That stinks!  My OB is not going to be retiring any time soon, so I'm not worried about her leaving.  It will be sad when Chase's pediatrician retires.  He was my pediatrician from birth and was DH's pediatrician from birth as well, so now he is caring for the next generation.  He is awesome, great with the kids, and down to earth.  Luckily we have met two other pediatricians at that practice and they are both really nice.
