You said your cat was crying when he had to pee with the blockage? The vet confirmed the existence of crystals and now I'm concerned 'cause the dogs ate the cat litter so I don't know the last time he went. He also doesn't always confine himself to the litter box but I haven't seen any evidence of him relieving himself elsewhere so I am not sure if he has gone today.
He is however, not a very vocal cat. His appetite has decreased but he is still eating some. He laid in the window all day yesterday but ran around a bit at night and played with the dog this morning.
I just want to make sure I'm not ignoring symptoms and if he is in obvious pain, do you think he'll let me know?
Re: Shelley
Also remember that they are a predatory animal and will hide any symptoms that would show weakness and vulnerability. So while the cat my seem just as normal and playful as usual he is still uncomfortable. maybe not in pain but some discomfort. His decreased appetite is a sign that something is wrong.
I have the x-ray of my cat's stones I can post if you want to see what they look like.
