How much does it cost to board your dog?

Just curious because we are having friends watch ours and I kind of want to know what to give them.  She will be there Sun night to Tues late morning, so not really 2 full days.  tx

Re: How much does it cost to board your dog?

  • In Hawaii it's like $35 a day. But back in Utah it was only like $20-ish. The couple that is watching our dog while i'm in the hospital has done it for me before and I usually get them a thank you card along with a gift card or a cute little gift!

  • We pay $8 a day for daycare (they are required to go) and then $15 dollars for the actual boarding.

  • Around $30 to $35 per night.
  • It's around $35 a night to board at our vet, but there are places here that go as high as $45.  (In Seattle.)

  • We have 3 dogs and it is about $60/night to board all three together.  I have never boarded just one or two, but I think it is like $35 for one, $50 for two and then $60 for three, something like that.  We live near Seattle.

My parents live in the Bay Area, Ca and pay $50/night for one dog.

  • I pay $35 for boarding, but that's at a "fancier" place.  i could find it in Nashville for like $25.  We typically have a dog sitter that comes to our house 3 X a day when we're out of town, and we pay him $25/day.

  • It varies based on the size of dog and the place that you decide to use but for my 40lb dog it is $30 a day before treats, extra play time, or doggie daycamp.
  • At the place I chose it depends on the place you pen them. They range from $15 - $40 which is from a crate to a 10x10 room.

  • It ranges from $17/day to $45/day in our area (central Texas).  The $17/day keeps all the dogs separate and the $45/day ones have a group play area that needs to be supervised.

  • We have paid almost $50 a night (SF Bay Area fancy dog hotel) to about $34ish.

The $34 is all day of dog play time plus a night in her own little room, food, and a treat each night.

We pay $15 per day/night where we send our pup to doggy day care. I know that's really cheap though.

  • When we went on vacation, we had DH's aunt watch our 2. She runs a doggie daycare and charges $10/day for one dog and $15/day for two. She also only takes smaller dogs (chihuahuas, maltese, cocker spaniels, etc)
  • Wow, I'm so glad I found a place in the middle of nowhere that I love. They love my dogs there, and take great care of them. It costs me $20 a night for both dogs in one space. It's a 4x8ish area, with a larger area outside. They leave the door open all day in summer, so the dogs can choose where they want to be. Grooming also costs less when they stay. I get my 65lb dog shaved down for $30 as opposed to $50 to $85 everywhere else I've checked.

  • I think here in GA it's $25 for the first day (kennel setup) and $18 a day after that.  You don't have to pay for the last day if you pick up before noon...
  • I was quoted $25 a day/night through our groomer, but we have her used the service.
