  • No it is not SPAM.  I am serious!!!  Why would you say it's SPAM?  I haven't posted a lot on this board because I just joined since I got pregnant.
  • Some other advice I can give about TTC is to take care of your body.  Exercise and eat right.  I got the book "The Fertility Diet" and it helped with what foods help and hinder ovulation.  I eat organic when I can.  Also, I use plant based laundry products and household cleaners.

A couple of things I learned from NaPro is to wear 100% cotton underwear, as synthetics may mess with your CM.

Oh my goodness!  Thanks for the tip!  I have been wearing a lot of sexy lingerie while TTC -- who knew this could interfere!  I'm going to get some of the plant based laundry detergent too!  (to wash my new cotton underwear).

  • If I posted about promoting IVF would it be SPAM?  I don't understand.   I found something that worked for us and want to share it with others who are TTC.  You don't want to look into it, fine.  I will still be praying for all of you to conceive.

We are Catholic and did not consider IUI, IVF or the like as an option.  Not just because it's against the faith, but because I personally also feel that I shouldn't be forcing my body to do what it is not ready to do.

This is highly offensive.  Just go away.

  • I reported it.

I love when someone doesn't participate, gets knocked up and then decides that all of us here having problems were just sitting around with our teeth in our mouths, doing everything wrong.

I eat organic, non-genetically-modified, free-range food (including all my meats), I bake my own breads, I wear cotton underwear, and have a completely green house including soaps, hair products, laundry detergents, etc. But you think I need to take BETTER care of my body and then I'll get pregnant?!?

Take your ignorant spam away from here.

And if you want to introduce something to the board, introduce yourself first. THEN you can say "has anyone tried this? We did and it worked." Take the preachy stuff elsewhere, Lady-- this isn't our first rodeo...

  • Ok, I will take that as a suggestion about introducing myself first.  Perhaps I should have done that.  I didn't even know this board exsisted throughout my three years of TTC.  It would have helped me a lot had I known.  I only joined the bump because I was searching stuff about being pregnant and found out there was other boards about TTC.

I have been through a LOT with my TTC time.  I won't go into detail because it's too painful to mention.  I know what you ladies go through.  I know the emotions, the pain, the hurt.  When the BFP finally happened to me I was stunned.  I guess I'm excited and want to share the methods I used to help others.  I was just trying to post something that worked for me and thought others may want to research it if they desired.

Also, I am NOT knocking anyone who tries IVF or any other procedure.  You each need to do what is right for you.  I didn't feel it was right for me.

  • I appreciate you acknowledging the need to intro first. We deal with a LOT of personal and highly emotional stuff here-- strangers who come in and weigh in like they know the one missing, "secret" key to getting KU that we are all missing is just insulting and disrespectful.

That's where I'm coming from, at any rate.

2nd of all, if you're already pregnant, go to the pregnant > 35 board. Many of us have been pregnant and lost the baby and/or had at least one chemical pregnancy. Having someone come by who we don't know and say "hey all! I got pregnant! Good luck!" is just insensitive and rude.

Even if you were coming from a good place, it is insensitive at best and cruel at worst.

As for the religion, I don't know about others, but I keep that toned down. I myself do not care if there is or is not a god/multiple gods/whatever. But bringing religion-- or a lack thereof-- into the TTC discussion is not something I would EVER dream of doing with these women I feel I know fairly well, let alone people who are strangers.

Good luck with your pregnancy. Too bad your possibly helpful message got lost in a piss-poor delivery...

Oh, and stay out of my underwear drawer.

Oh Petra, between your siggy photo of you kicking a fish's arse (do they even have butts?) while crying into your cupcakes and the fact that you only whisper into your underwear instead of farting, I think that underwear drawer is pretty tempting!  LOL

Danieleandwayne & Petra - I really need to learn to stop sipping on my water while reading your posts.  This time it actually came out of my nose while laughing!

Me 39 & suspected PCOS, DH 42. Went off BCP when we got married in 11/11, seriously TTC since 3/12.  Six cycles of clomid = BFNs.  Suspected endometriosis & HSG showed both tubes blocked.  Sept 2013 IVF 5D transfer of two perfect embryos = BFN.  Started acupuncture and taking time off to drop some pounds & get healthier before FET in April 2014.
