Love it! A great classic name. Although I do like Theo as a NN a bit more than Teddy.
While I do like Theo, one of our other boy names is Leonard (nn Leo) and I thought they would be way too close. However, as he would get older, if he chose to go by Theo that would be his decision.

Meh. Not great, not bad. I wouldn't side eye anyone for it, but it's so....stuffy? I can't really put my finger on it. It's a good name for a president or a CEO.
Love, love, love it! DS is Theodore Robert. If I take aside the meaning Robert has to us, then I think Theodore James goes even better. We also call him Teddy. A few people call him Theo, it took awhile but I made my peace with it. So just a piece of advice, he might get Theo anyway. Though I don't understand why other people (ie relatives) think they can disregard the nickname we choose and call him another one.
I obviously love Theodore, so I'm biased. I also think Teddy is adorable so I like it as a nn too. My only reservation with it is that I don't like Ted at all and worried that the -dy would get dropped once he hit school age. So we use the nn Theo. I realize he might prefer Ted in the future, but for now he loves Theo and doesn't want to be Teddy at all.
We also have Theodore as our boy name! Ours will be Theodore Perry, after I learned that the name Perry has been a traditional middle name in my family for generations (literally--going back to the early 1800's!)
For a NN, we will likely use Teddy when he's a baby, but then I like Theo a lot better when he's older.
I love the name, and I love Teddy as a nickname. When I was in high school, there was a boy two years older than me who was SO cute and his name was Teddy. So I think I just have positive connotations with the name He went by Ted when he got older, which I also like.
Love it! If our LO ends up being a boy he's going to be Theodore Patrick. Theodore is great cause it's got a ton of nick names that can grow with him. Theodore James even lends itself to the nn TJ. You got a winner there!

This. Great choice
Although I like Theodore on it's own or Theo better than Teddy.
