When is too late to send out birth announcements? DD is 7 weeks old, and spent her first 3 weeks in the NICU. We just finally had her newborn pictures done is past weekend since she came earlier than expected/longer than expected NICU stay and our photographer had a busy month to squeeze us in. Now since she's so busy it may be another month before we receive our images. Is it silly to send out birth announcements at this point, considering DD will be at least 3 months old. I feel really weird about it, but I'm disappointed to miss out on the experience of formally announcing her birth. What do you ladies think/what are your experiences?
Re: Birth Announcements
I don't think it's to late at all. The way I look at it all rules are off when it comes to preemies. And, I'm sure everyone understands that.
LOVE THESE!!! I used the quote on mine that said "Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in our heart". It would be fitting for this design as well.

Ours was pretty late too, for the same reasons. I think it's fine, I'd say for the first year for sure.
^ Yup. Preemie do things in their own time and so do their parents. I ordered T's BA's when he was about a month old, but used them as cards/stationary/thank you notes to everyone who helped us while we were in NICU as well as sending to the people I would normally. Thanks for the casserole - here's my kid!
