Help me with my baby shower thank you cards

I have written so many that I'm starting to sound the same on every. single. one.

Tell me some generic things you said on yours... please? I have written 50 and have at least 50 to go and I want to stab my eyes out!

I havent' even started mine and I'm dreading doing them!

My hostess wrote down what each person bought so I could personalize each card. Maybe that's an idea if you remember what they got you? If not, I'm not really sure what to tell you other than I feel your pain. Thank you cards can be tiring!

Mine wrote everything down, too. I just feel like I am saying the same thing over and over... I guess that's what Thank you cards are, but I feel like I'm being so boring!

Mine were all generally the same. Repetitive for you, but each person getting one will only see that one. Mine generally said:

"Dear ______,

Thank you so much for coming to my shower, it meant so much to me for you to be there. Thank you for the (gift) for Baby Girl! We look forward to using it for (xyz), and we are so excited for her to meet you!

If it was an extra special gift, or the persona traveled a distance to come, I made an extra special note of thanks. But I pretty much followed that template.

In addition to thanking each person for their gift I said things like:

Thank you so much for your generosity, we cannot wait for baby to get here to enjoy this gift

We will definitely put this to good use (when referring to money or gift cards)

Baby __ will look adorable in this

Thank you so much for ___ we are so excited that you got us this

Thank you so much for ______, it will be so helpful once Baby __ gets here

Or you could add in little things like: I will probably be calling you for advice next month (even if you won't)

Or things like hopefully this will help _____ sleep- not counting on it but we can hope right

I don't know if any of these help, it has been a long time since I had to write to Thank you notes for our baby shower.  Good luck!

This is pretty much my template for thank yous too. If it was a gift card, I tell them what we are using it for (like put towards our stroller or something big and useful).

I know how you feel but I've only done 40 and have 10 to go. Yippee! (BTW only 40 compared to your 100--I feel extremely blessed having this many to write.) I haven't sealed them yet so here are two examples verbatim:

Dear E, Thank you so much for celebrating our baby with us--and for driving all that way! We really appreciate your generosity and know that we will use the bedding and lamp for years to come.  Sincerely, L &E

Dear C, Thank you very much for the awesome jogging stroller! I'm so excited to use it and whip myself into shape.  I'm so thankful to have you as a friend too! Love, L

Dear Aunt A, Thank you so much for coming to celebrate with E and I.  We love the special blankets and baby booties.  We will truly treasure these handmade gifts and appreciate that you took the time to make them.  Love, L & E

Yeah, I think they're just boring lol. Look at it this way I guess, it's original to the person whose getting it even if you said it 50 times. GL! I'm sure you're just over it and ready to be done.

Looks like you got some good ideas already... but I just wanted to add:  it is probably boring to you because you've written/read it fifty times already, but it is not like your people are all going to be comparing their thank you cards to see if you wrote completely different messages in each one!

Mine are pretty much all the same, too:

Dear ________,

Thank you so much for the _______. I can't wait to use it! /see her in it!/ It will definitely be put to good use!. Thank you even more for coming to shower to celebrate with us. It means so much to get to share this experience with dear friends and family. (Sometimes another sentence about our friendship).

For the ones that aren't shower gifts it's a little different. I haven't had as many of those so I don't really have a template.
