Anyone else?!

Husband & i have been TTC for a little over a year now. 8 months ago was diagnosed with PCOS and put on metformin. Still no luck for us. I'm getting so frazzled.

I have PCOS and I have been pg twice.  1st was an m/c and then nothing for about 2 years and it resulted in DD.

Nothing since then, but I am not on any meds for it right now.

Are you charting at all to see when you O?  I started doing it about 4 months ago and it really is a wealth of information to see what's going on with my cycle.  It might help you figure things out.

I have to agree about the charting - do you even know if you're ovulating? Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility (aka the bible of fertility...haha)?

I hear you - TTC with PCOS is so frustrating. My cycles pre DS were 40-90 days apart. I had half the chance everyone else did to even hope to conceive. And trying to catch my fertile periods before knowing the signs exhausted DH and I. Not that it wasn't fun trying

It took me over a year to conceive DS, and I was about to go on fertility meds the cycle after I conceived. I had a miscarriage (with a surprise pregnancy) and now I'm pregnant again after trying for 5 months. It happens!! You can get there!! I know it feels so hopeless and frustrating now, but if you're cycling you have a really great chance of catching that egg! Have you talked about going further with fertility meds with your RE?

 Also - soulcysters.net is a great website for those looking for others with PCOS. they've got an awesome forum and I have friends I still keep in contact from there with even though I haven't posted regularly in a couple years.

My cycles are AWFUL. In 2011, i went 11 months without NOTHING. NOTHING! Went to the OB, got put on provera and then finally had a cycle in Nov. After Nov, nothing again until Feburary when i went back to the OB. Thats when i was diagnosed with PCOS, put on Metformin and Provera for a cycle again. Feburary was forced with provera, march came on its own, april came on its own. In April i started charting. I ovulated the 21st and 22nd, which seemed so weird to me because my feb & march cycles started bleeding on the 21st. So not regulary. Then may period came on the 9th. Nothing in june. July it came on the 21st. Taking regular ovulation sticks but no period or O for the month of august yet.

I think my tubes are closed and am hoping to have an HSG, and we met with an IVF specialist who along with the HSG wants me to start birth control for a month. but neither of those things can happen until my period comes. SO ANNOYING. who knew one wanted to see AF so bad?!

I had great luck with dr erickson at center for reproductive medicine. Three rounds of clomid brought us our sweet little one!
