Infant vomiting question?

Okay so maybe it is all coincidence but both of my 7 month old twin girls have had episodes of vomiting 3 different nights during the month (so 6 times total). When described to the triage nurse the first time, she thought it was a stomach virus. "All" they have been experiencing when it happens is vomiting and sometimes some dry heaving for a little while after. After the episode (in which they vomit 2x or so) they have been fine. No fever or anything. Is this just a reaction to solid food aka just immature digestive systems? In all cases except one, we had fed them 2-3 hours prior to the episode a food that we had already introduced and they had never had a reaction to. It is just so strange. They aren't eating much food yet (at 7 months, maybe a tbsp of purees if I'm lucky at dinner time). It is just so strange....maybe it is just coincidence and they are getting random stomach viruses. (And nothing happened prior to the episode....no excessive crying etc.)
