Our last name is four letters and rhymes with dear. For a middle name, would something four letters, such as Jane work? Or would a longer middle name such as Elizabeth be better? I'm wondering if a shorter mn makes it all sound too choppy.
Also, I prefer Norah with the "h" on the end, but what do you think?
Thanks.
Re: Let's talk about Norah
This for me too.
I am kinda old fashion with the name norah without the h. But I have seen it both ways.
My goofy little blog
I think a longer MN would make her full name sound less choppy.
And I like Norah, with the h.

I prefer Norah, with an "h". I just think Nora looks incomplete, but both spellings are legitimate.
I LOVE Norah Jane, but Nora Jane has too few letters for me. It looks too informal. Norah Elizabeth is more my style.
I agree
For Nora(h) I think you either have to go with a one syllable middle, or a 3 syllable middle. Anything with 2 syllables I don't think will work.
And just throwing this out there, I went to HS with a girl that has this name but she spelled it Noura. Not sure if that is a legitimate spelling or not, though.

I agree- I actually think Nora Jane is really cute- but our girl name was Cora Joy, so I guess I must be a fan of shorter middle names. We just found out we are having a boy though, so I guess we'll put our name on the back burner for now!
