iPad Users...Please come in!

DH told me the other day that he was thinking about getting me an iPad!  Its sort of a Back-To-School gift!  Anyway, I already have a Nook tablet, which I really like.  The main reason he was thinking about the iPad is because after Caleb goes to bed, he usually gets on the computer to game or work, so I am left with my tablet, and sometimes it is not the easiest to navigate. 

So my question is: what do you use your iPad for and do you like it? Can you compare it to another tablet? Thanks!

I don't really see the need for both since you can do Internet stuff with the nook. I don't like the iPad or my kindle for typing but they can get you by. I only use the iPad at work to enter data so I haven't really played with it much though.

Yea, I didn't think I needed both, and I feel kinds guilty for putting out the money for an iPad when I alredy have a tablet.  I probably just need to play more with my Nook to get more used to it!

Haha.  Our iPad is supposed to be just that "ours" but it's really DH's.  I rarely use it and don't really care to.  DH watches movies on it.  He reads on it and browses the internet.  It really is just a very portable computer. 

I don't know much about the Nook Tablet, but I'm not sure you'd really need both.

I don't know anything about the Nook but I love our iPad. I use it for everything and find its pretty easy to navigate. DD #1 loves it too. I have 2 folders of apps for her that keep her entertained while we are out or now while I am nursing #2.

We are all gadget-ed out in our house - I have a Kindle, we have a shared ipad, and I have an iPad for work. I love our ipads. I use it in the evenings to look at facebook, blogs, read personal email - nothing productive, but almost anything I would be doing on the computer.

Is the nook smaller? I really just read, do apps and web browse. I could have done that on any tablet honestly. I just think it would be harder with a smaller keyboard.

I've only ever used the iPad so I have no gauge between it and others.  I love it however, but I definitely didn't need it.  DH gave it to me as a push gift so I can't complain!!

DH uses it a lot to play games.  I'm not a gamer so I use it mainly for the internet.  And Pinterest now that they have an actual iPad app!

I personally wanted a netbook, because I knew I was just going to use it for the internet, but DH surprised me when he came home with the camera I told him to buy and the iPad!
