Re: anyone else sick?

  • Get a good humidifier, you can suck on Ricola cough drops (herbal ones) Tylenol is about only pain med you can take. I also used a throat spray to numb my throat with my first pregnancy, the itching was unbearable otherwise.

  • You can get some Vapo Rub! That helped me with my last pregnancy when I was super sick. You can also call the nurse even if you haven't had your appointment and see what they suggest.

I agree with getting some vapor rub. It REALLY helped me.

  • I was sick in my 7th week. My doctor said Sudafed is fine for those with normal blood pressure. She said I am fine to take it in the future as well. It is not recommended for higher blood pressures because of clotting.

I also pulled out the humidifier. It did wonders!

  • I would call the office anyway and tell them what's going on.  They will tell you what you can take.

  • Sorry you're not feeling well :-( I'm just getting used to the fact that I'm going to feel pretty crappy for about 8 more months. I can't sleep, I feel nauseated pretty much 24/7, and there's nothing I can do. It sucks!! I would just try to drink plenty of fluids, rest up, and relax. Cough drops should be fine :-)
