School-Aged Children

Re: (Untitled)

  • Definitely bring up your concerns with the school speech therapist.  She should also be able to give you materials to work with your son at home on his speech, which gives him a better prognosis and helps him to improve his speech faster.  When you also know exactly what he's working on in speech, you can help him generalize his sounds outside of the speech room.  As he improves, he'll realize that people are understanding him more, and his frustration level should decrease.
