For those that have a nanny, what is the approximate/average range of salary for a full-time live-out nanny?  We live in NJ.  Also, did you use a nanny agency or advertise on your own?  Thanks.

    Ours is $10 / hour, but that is very inexpensive. ?She is wonderful though. ?I found her on care.com.

    I looked into agencies as well. ?The average was $16 / hour. ?

    We live in San Diego, and it's a HCOL area (La Jolla, CA).  We pay our nanny $15/hour which is excellent considering all that she does for us.  Daycares around us were $10/hour and she does light housekeeping/errands/etc so the extra $5/hour is totally worth it to us.

    We found her through a nanny placement agency.
