Can you have Ovulation and still bfp....

My temps have been up for 3 days, so FF thinks I ovulated. And I think the same thing from the looks of my chart, but I'm still getting bfps on the FRER hpt.
Saw my GP on Thursdsay morning and got the req for blood work. I'll go tomorrow and have blood drawn.
I read somewhere that you can ovulate if you have bhcg levels less than 5, but DH's research showed FRER detects 15 and higher. Anyone have any idea what the real numbers are.
Just waiting to get back to normal so we can try again. SUCKS

you have missing temps in your chart so FF is tkaing a guess when you Oed but you could have Oed earlier in your cycle... sorry your chart is hard to read with all the missing temps etc...

After my m/c I O'd a couple of days after my hcg came back 3.5. I suppose it's possible to O even if your hcg was slightly higher. I'm not sure where your DH did his research, but I think some of the HPTs out there are actually more sensitive than they say they are.
The waiting sucks...I hope you get this behind you soon.

My Chart
I just miscarried and am waiting for BFPs to drop. I'm not pregnant. That is for certain.
I definitely wouldn't have O'd earlier in my cycle. My Betas were in the hundreds earlier on.
The start of my cycle was at the time of miscarriage, and I don't know that my missing temps at the time would have made a difference to FF. They probably shouldn't even be included.

I was looking for a number. I thought I read it was 5 or lower.
The BFPs are very very very very light and haven't changed for last 3 tests over a weeks time. I was thinking the would probably be BFN if I was using another brand. My GP said that I could expect BHCG levels kind of linger on for a while. I just hope they linger at a below 5 and not interfere too much with my cycle.
I'll do my bloodwork tomorrow and see what it comes back at.

so sorry- I didn't read that until after I posted, then I went back and edited and it didn't work. I am so sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage in April. I didn't ovulate until late next month.

I think you can. I ovulated on like day 29 of my cycle after the D&C. A week earlier my blood test was still positive so my body must have been gearing up to ovulate with the hcg still in my system. I wondered the same thing and I'm pretty sure I searched TTCAL and found posts saying you can ovulate before the beta is completely negative.
Though looking at your chart, are you sure you ovulated? The temp shift is quite subtle.
Just a few short weeks and you'll be back in the game!
I was going to post earlier that you chart looks all sorts of whacky this month!
I don't always trust FF-- they tend to put the cover line nowhere near where my RE says it should be and sometimes they say stupid things like "your LP seems to vary, which indicates irregular temping" right after a m/c occurs (yeah, FF, my LP was longer last month because I lost my baby-- thanks for the reminder and the chastising of my temping skills!).
I use FF purely for the recording aspects and then often I override my coverline and sometimes even my O date (like this cycle, when I didn't O but FF thought I did). And I liked their tutorials back when I started. But otherwise-- FF can be a canoeful of douche and it gets frustrating!
And I know those HPTs are tricky-- my cheapie Wondfos picked up my + the morning my b/w came back as an HCG of 13!

Best wishes to everyone ttc! I'm 9 days into the tww, and keep having baby and poas dreams... the one last night was so powerfull... I dreamviewed a positive hpt... that I gave in and tested early today... BFN! I'm trying to be patient, I SWEAR! I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir. Baby Dust!!!
